NutriHarmony Article: The Boyer Review — Enzymes, More Valuable than Gold!

The Boyer Review
By Randall Boyer, M.D.

More valuable than gold? You've got to be kidding! Everyone knows all things of value are measured against gold as the standard! Many have filled their treasure chest with gold's finding. Many have laid down their life seeking but a glimpse of its glitter. Many have found it, only to lose it by making the wrong choices.

Unlike a treasure chest full of gold, which does not ensure happiness, health and longevity, one filled with enzyme potential can supply it all.

Few people realize birth comes with the inheritance of a bank account containing only a set or finite amount of future enzyme production potential, and this inheritance must last a lifetime. Unfortunately, most will squander their treasure, feeling there will always be more where that came from. In contrast, a wise steward would both withdraw small amounts over time, but also try to replenish and even add to their future potential and power.

So, what are enzymes and why are they so valuable? Enzymes are protein molecules that catalyze or speed up biochemical reactions. They are the "worker bees" of the body's factory, the body's metabolic labor force. Without enzymes there can be no healing, no digestion, no detoxification or cleansing, no recovery or rejuvenation, no life! Other than the activity and work of enzymes, there is no other mechanism in the body to protect the body from any hazard. Enzymes serve as a series of "taxicabs", helping move substance A to substance B, and then to C. Enzymes possess energy much as a battery, and can fade and wear out with use and aging. In essence, enzymes and their innate energy are life !

Without enzymes there can be no healing, no digestion, no detoxification or cleansing, no recovery or rejuvenation, no life!

Life has been defined by some "as an orderly function of enzymes", and by others "as an integration of enzyme reactions." As enzyme strength, energy and activity decline with time and use, dysfunction and lack of integration of enzymatic activity occurs, resulting in symptoms and ultimately disease itself. Researchers will likely prove that most diseases are caused by dysfunctional or deficient enzyme activity. Old age and debilitated, worn out enzyme activity are synonymous. And, yes, the reverse is also true. Strong, energized enzymatic activity into later years is associated with youthfulness, health and longevity! Life ends when life's energy or the enzymatic activity of the body machine drops to such a low point that it is unable to carry on vital enzyme reactions.

Three types of enzymes exist with regard to life. Metabolic enzymes run all the machinery and systems of the body such as the brain, heart, lungs, immune system, etc. Digestive enzymes are strong enzymes made by the body to digest and process food for fuel and building blocks to run the body machinery. Fully 50% of all potential enzyme activity is used just to make digestive enzymes. But wait. If we use our treasure chest of enzyme potential to make both metabolic enzymes and digestive enzymes, won't we run out? Yes, and this is where the third type of enzymes come to bear. Food enzymes are present in the cells of food, keeping the food alive and running its machinery. These same food enzymes, if alive, can function as digestive enzymes in us and thereby allow fewer withdrawals of enzyme potential from our precious limited bank account of enzyme production potential.

Most food is denatured or dead, and devoid of live enzyme activity by the time it hits your lips. Enzymes are destroyed at ll8° F, as from cooking , irradiation, processing, pasteurizing, etc.

So, what's the problem? Simple. Most food is denatured or dead, and devoid of live enzyme activity by the time it hits your lips. Enzymes are destroyed at ll8° F, as from cooking , irradiation, processing, pasteurizing, etc. Unfortunately this means that enzyme dead food forces us to increase our own digestive enzyme production by making excessive withdrawals from our treasure chest of energy and enzyme potential! Not good! This creates body stress and can ultimately result in diminished metabolic enzymes to run the body efficiently, which can then further result in symptoms, disease and faster aging and body exhaustion.

Most Americans are already running low on metabolic enzymes by their early to late 30's. No wonder people are running out of energy, cannot metabolize and digest well, getting heavier, and getting late-life diseases younger and with epidemic frequency.

So, what is the solution? Simple. Eat more enzymatically active foods and take supplements that are enzymatically active! Eat as few dead foods and supplements as possible. Even dead supplements will require withdrawals of enzyme potential in order to activate them so that your body can utilize them!

Supplementation in general has become mandatory for health due to our nutrient deficient food! Especially enzyme supplementation and replacement is no longer an option for just the wealthy. It is of utmost importance for maintenance and restoration of health at all levels of sickness or wellness!

Not all enzymes are created equal! Most food enzymes and many dietary supplement enzymes are too weak and will not survive the journey from the mouth and on through the digestive intestinal tract, let alone possibly adding deposits into your enzyme bank account for future withdrawals, energy, health and longevity. Spare no cost when it comes to enzymatically active food, enzymatically active supplements and enzymes themselves. Remember, enzymes are life itself. There would be no life without enzymes!

NutriHarmony provides both enzymatically active food, enzymatically active and Real Food Process™ supplements and "super enzymes" — live plant enzymes that are able to survive the journey through the digestive tract and, yes, to even be absorbed and make deposits into your enzyme bank account, all working synergistically together. It just doesn't get any better than this! Fill up your treasure chest of enzymes and insure your future health and vigor into old age by taking enzymes with every feeding.
